Service Charge For Local Delivery Via Dr Soda's TrucksThe huge increase in the cost of fuel has had as much of an inpact on all of us here at Dr Soda, as it is having on you.
We are trying to off set the expense of this in the form of a "temporary fuel surcharge" as i was hoping this
obscene increase at the pump would be short lived as it was
last year.
Most of our suppliers are either doing the same or increasin their cost of good, as they are paying are getting surcharges and price increases on their end as well.
It has become obvious to me, that this is not the case. On April 19, 2005....I did have to make some changes to our delivery charges. i hope that you will agree with me on them. You will notice a small "fuel surcharge" that is based on milage from pacoima to your location
I hate having to do this, but as alwasy, I prefer to be up front and honest with. Pretending that the fuel increase
does not have a negative impact on the cost of being in business is delusional. In the partnership I have with you, I truely hope that you understand and will continue the partnership that you have with me and my company, Dr Soda.
With the huge profits the refiners are reporting each quater, it makes me scratch my head tring to figure out what is going on. My common sense tells me that even if gas and diesel was $5 a gallon, we would all still pay it.
Hopefully, this will change. When it does, my service charge will reflect that change. When I did the budget this year, we allowed for fuel at $1.72....
Thank you for your partnership.
